Cathy Guilder, a local traditional crafts practitioner, will demonstrate the craft of 'flax treating' using all the necessary tools for processing flax into ‘line’ and show people how this was historically done. Once the line is produced, visitors will have the opportunity to participate in 'wheel spinning', followed by a demonstration on how ‘yarn’ is then woven into fabric, with simple weaving tools.
