Who
We Are
/ What
We Do
St Osyth Summer Sounds is produced by Arts Trust Productions, a charity dedicated to reducing loneliness and isolation through the transformative power of the arts. Since 2012, we have produced free-to-attend festivals, cultural events and creative experiences that bring communities together. We work closely with local partners, amplifying voices and nurturing a sense of belonging through shared artistic and culinary experiences. Our impact extends beyond entertainment, we create lasting connections, strengthen local economies and make culture accessible to all.
Our work has been widely recognised, and in 2024/25, we were honoured with nominations for three prestigious awards:
• Best Sport London Community Impact Award 2025 (Winner)
• Best Family Festival 2025: Family Arts Campaign
• Best Business 2025: Royal Borough of Greenwich
• Best Tourism and Culture Award 2025: Royal Borough of Greenwich
• Best Hospitality Award 2025: Tendring District Council (2nd Place)
St Osyth Priory
Steeped in over 1,400 years of culture, history and legend, St Osyth Priory has been lovingly restored from a family home into a dream venue that honours its past. Nestled just five miles from Colchester in Tendring’s stunning coastal district, this magnificent country estate offers elegant versatile event space of over 350 acres for the festival to grow and for our audiences to explore. The priory’s very name recalls the miraculous martyrdom of St. Osyth, whose sainthood drew pilgrims and prosperity. After surviving the Dissolution of the Monasteries, it flourished as a private estate and even welcomed Queen Elizabeth I twice during her Royal Progresses.
Set across 350 acres of Registered Park and Garden County Wildlife Site, the estate blends formal gardens, historic lakes and sweeping woodland avenues with ancient reed beds and open parkland. Home to rare-breed and native livestock, most famously the iconic white deer, St Osyth Priory invites guests to wander its diverse habitats and savour the tranquil beauty of its natural surroundings.
