Aiden Grimshaw
An English singer-songwriter and actor from Blackpool, Lancashire. He trained at the Michael Hall Theatre School in North Shore, Blackpool, and made early TV appearances before stepping onto a bigger stage in 2010 as a contestant on the seventh series of The X Factor.
Aiden’s performances quickly set him apart—dramatic, atmospheric, and unapologetically individual. He reached the live shows and became one of the series’ most talked-about contestants, earning strong praise for his distinctive style and song choices.
After the competition, Aiden signed with RCA Records and launched his recording career with the single “Is This Love”(released 3 June 2012), which entered the UK Singles Chart. His debut album Misty Eye followed on 20 August 2012, reaching the UK Albums Chart Top 20 and marking the beginning of a new chapter beyond television.
In the years that followed, Aiden continued releasing new music, including the Aiden EP (2013) and a return run of tracks from 2015 onwards. He later revealed he had also been releasing music under the alias Butterjack, and in 2023 announced a new label deal with Revanche Records, signalling the next phase of his evolving catalogue.
