Free Introduction to Tai Chi

Jo Thorne of 'Seasonal Flow Yoga with Jo' will be offering two free yoga sessions, designed to help you reconnect with your body, calm your mind, and embrace the uplifting energy of summer.

Jo has been teaching Seasonal Yoga classes across Tendring for the past six years, creating welcoming and inclusive sessions for people of all ages and abilities. Her Vinyasa-inspired approach blends flowing yoga movement and Qi-Gong focuses on the meridians or energy pathways for the organs of the season.  This targeted movement alongside guided meditation and pranayama/breathing techniques aim to bring about balance and carefully align you with the changing energy of the seasons.

The Saturday session will be a gentle mat-based practice, while Sunday’s session will offer a fully seated experience, making it especially accessible for those who prefer or require chair-based movement. Both sessions are suitable for beginners and no previous yoga experience is needed.

Jo's classes are designed to raise the vibrant "summer fire" energy of the season to awaken the joy and vitality at the heart and balance the mind and emotions to reconnect to self. Expect mindful movement, centering breathwork, and a supportive atmosphere where you can relax, recharge, and leave feeling lighter, brighter, and more connected.

Whether you are completely new to yoga or simply looking for a moment of wellbeing during the festival, everyone is welcome to join.

Wear comfortable clothes you can move freely in, layers are preferable, no shoes for the mat based session.

Please bring a mat if you have one and water to stay hydrated, and please arrive a few minutes early if possible.
