My love of sewing stems from watching my Mum make clothes at home when I was a child. The “laddle-laddle” noise of a sewing machine still takes me back to trying to hear the TV over the sound of her sewing on the dining room table. Having stopped working in full-time employment, I am exceptionally lucky to be able to design and make fabric accessories from home full-time from the comfort of my sewing room. As well as selling online, I love going out and about to craft fairs and markets with my items, meeting and talking with customers and other traders.

Walkersmiths was started in November 2015 and has grown steadily since then. Everything is made, by me, at my home in North Essex. Big love to my dear husband who supports and encourages my endeavours. Without him none of this would be possible; and not forgetting our beautiful feline companion who assists in her own unique way and makes us laugh every day.
