Sinéad is an Irish singer songwriter living in Essex since 2005. She studied Music at Maynooth University, Ireland and now teaches Music in a secondary school in North East Essex. Her first album, Chapters, was released in 2009. It is an intimate collection of original songs, each song representing a chapter in her life. The album is a variety of styles from Irish folk to jazz. She loves the craft of songwriting and her influences include Joni Mitchell, Paul Simon, Crosby, Stills and Nash, Kings of Convenience, Damien Dempsey and Polly Paulusma. She is currently writing songs for a second album and hopes to record it soon. She has played in venues in and around Colchester including the folk night at the Colchester Arts Centre.
